Kharkiv Historical Museum named after M. F. Sumtsov is one of the oldest museums in Ukraine. The history of its appearance dates back to 1920, and nowadays it receives about 200 thousand visitors. Located in the historic center of the city, where in the middle of the XVII century was founded Kharkiv, the museum basically combines the past and the present. The modern, glass-colored blue sky cube, which captured the ancient museum building, is an architectural monument, truly giving a second breath to the museum itself, attracting additional and high interest from modern tourists.
