Built in the 19th century on the initiative of Rabbi Shalom Rokeach, it became a symbol of Belz Hasidism. During the Second World War, the synagogue was destroyed, and its remaining structures were dismantled in the postwar period. Today, this site preserves the memory of one of the most significant Jewish sacred places of Belz.
