In time, the museum was given another premises, in which the Berdyansk-Nogai bank was once located. After the occupation in 1944, the museum of local lore resumed its work in the premises of the former parish school of the Catholic church. From 1958 until now, the museum is located on the first floor of a three-story residential building. Today the museum bears the name of born in Berdyansk ethnographer, folklorist and dialectologist V. Kravchenko. The museum's funds hold about 80 thousand museum items, among them the most interesting museum collections, unique manuscript sources on the history of the city and the region, and individual rarities.
