The “Universal” tractor was once an important part of the history of Ukrainian rural life. Due to the limited number of such machines, they were distributed among districts in small quantities, sometimes only one tractor per district. One of these tractors was brought to the Luhyny district, where it was used by the local agricultural machinery service and later became a monument to the people who pioneered mechanized farming.
According to unofficial information, only a few such tractors have survived in Ukraine, including the one preserved in Luhyny. Today, it serves as a symbol of agricultural history, technological progress, and generations of workers who contributed to the development of farming.
The monument will be of interest to technology history enthusiasts, local historians, and anyone wishing to discover lesser-known pages of the past of Zhytomyr Polissia.
