Located in Taras Shevchenko Square on Taras Shevchenko Boulevard, it is a modern replica of the historic clock that adorned the city at the end of the 19th century.
The original three-sided clock was installed in 1896 with funds provided by the Society for the Beautification of the City on the city's former promenade. After World War II, it was destroyed by the Soviet authorities. In 2014, the historic landmark was reconstructed using old photographs. The modern replica was created by Lviv craftsman Oleksii Burnaiev.
The area surrounding the clock has been transformed into a welcoming public space with benches, waste bins, and historic cobblestones collected from the streets of Ternopil. With its elegant design and historical significance, the clock blends seamlessly into the architectural ensemble of the city's historic center.
Today, the Ternopil Three-Sided Clock is one of the symbols of Ternopil, a favorite meeting place for both residents and visitors, and a popular photo spot that connects the city's rich history with its modern urban landscape.
