The Zaporizhzhia Circus began its work on April 20, 1972 in the building along Rekordna Street. In the circus arena there were such outstanding figures of circus art as Yuriy Nikulin, Igor and Emil Kio, family dynasties of Durov, Filatov, Zapashnye and many others. To date, the Zaporizhzhia Circus is one of the central organizers of entertainment events, which organizes leisure for children and adults of the city and region. His auditorium with a capacity of two thousand seats is a dome-shaped circular structure with a small observation superstructure at the top and an arena with a diameter of thirteen meters in the center. Spotting eight sectors are located in two tiers on the sides of the central axis, which make up the orchestra above the artists exit and the central entrance. At the circus, a jazz collective was created, led by conductor Kravets. The orchestra presents its programs not only to the residents of the city, but also goes on tour abroad. The main activity is popularization of Ukrainian national music. The Circus building is actively used not only for performances of circus performers, but also for various concerts and exhibitions.
