Water tower

40-meter water tower – the visiting card of Glukhiv – was built in 1927 on the place of the Putivl Gate of the Glukhov Fortress

The tower is unique in its architecture – a round cone-shaped trunk in the upper part gently moves into an extended two-tiered cylinder with rectangular windows. An internal spiral staircase of 186 steps leads to the upper level with a viewing platform. It offers a magnificent view of the city and its surroundings

Знаходиться башта в центрі міста. З неї відкривається чудовий краєвид аж до горизонту. Сама споруда у досить поганому стані. Підніматися на верх дуже не зручно, місцями так темно що можна ноги зламати на сходах... В нижньому приміщенні є сувенірна лавка де можна недорого придбати різні дрібнички.

Famous Hlukhiv Water Tower - a place to visit when you are in this town. You can see the town and surrounding areas from quite an altitude! *** Якщо ви були у Глухові та не побували на водонапірній вежі, ви не побували в Глухові! :) Працює за теплого сезону з 12-ої години. З висоти Глухів - як на долоні. Видно також околиці міста. Продаються сувеніри, діють виставки.
