In a small area, a hill about 50 meters in diameter, place unique interrelated processes. In the area of the volcano Starunsky previously occurred to develop oil and gas fields, but after the earthquake of 1977, in Romania, the groundwater saturated with oxygen penetrated deep into the earth for a thousand meters, and oil started to oxidize. These are complex physical and chemical processes feed the volcano. Now the volcano releases gas (methane and ethane), water, clay pulp, oil and its components through dozens of smaller "craters". Near Starunsky volcano exist fresh water springs and five types of mineral waters.
