Regimental Church of St. Alexander Nevsky in Mohyliv-Podilskyi was built in the late XIX century. In those days the city bordered between the river Nemiyka and the end of Olexander Avenue, at the beginning of the village Ostrivtsi. There was located a military unit of the tsar army, precisely for those soldiers the church of Alexander Nevsky was built. During Soviet times it was closed and rebuilt into a club for the flight training soldiers. Church was opened for the faithful Orthodox citizens no sooner than the end of XX century.
