Unfortunately, the names of architects and builders are not preserved in history. At the bell tower of the church is a unique Nikopol "king-bell", cast for the money of the Shiyan brothers, the Cossacks in 1793. In the twentieth century, the Savior Transfiguration Cathedral was closed twice and used for other purposes. On April 7, 1991, when the Christian feasts of the Annunciation and Easter coincided together, the first divine service took place in the church. From that moment the time for its final restoration begins.
