Reshetylivka (Poltava region) has long been known for its talented masters of folk arts and crafts.
Now the workshop staff is developing a project "Preserve traditions — create the future", the ultimate goal of which is to create a Training and Creative Center for Arts and Crafts. At the center, young people will be taught the secrets of carpet weaving and exhibit products of folk artists of Poltava region. Eventually, the center should become a mini-museum and a tourist attraction of Reshetylivka. Serhiy Kolinchenko, the owner of the workshop, is raising charitable funds for this initiative.
The works of the masters of the Reshetyliv Art Crafts Workshop "Solomiya" based on the drawings of famous Reshetyliv artists decorate the interior of the Verkhovna Rada, the Presidential Administration, the Ukrainian House in Kyiv, a number of
museums in Ukraine.
Thus, the author's tapestry of folk master Nadezhda Babenko "Tree of Life" decorates the Blue Hall of the UN Headquarters in New York as a gift from our state. The workshop has separate shops for hand and machine embroidery, weaving. Recently, a computer embroidery shop was added — now the machines themselves reproduce the pattern on the fabric according to the pattern. Mostly tapestries or souvenirs are made according to demand.
