It connects Volodymyrska Hill Park with Khreshchatyi Park near the Arch of Freedom of the Ukrainian People. The 216-meter-long bridge features a three-span beam design with transparent glass panels in the floor, creating a floating effect over the landscape.
Although the idea for the bridge dates back to Soviet times, the project was only realized in 2019. It was officially opened on May 26, in time for Kyiv Day. The construction used 90% Ukrainian materials, including 700 tons of steel produced at the Azovstal plant in Mariupol. The total cost, including landscaping, was about 420 million hryvnias.
On October 10, 2022, during a Russian missile strike on Kyiv, a rocket fell near the bridge. Some of the glass panels were damaged, but the structure remained intact and no one was injured. The bridge withstood the blast and became another symbol of the city's resilience.
